Christian Formation

We offer a variety of different opportunities to learn and grow in our relationship with God. Traditionally we have met at 9:30 am for formation for all ages. We have different groups for adults and children and occasionally we offer an inter-generational gathering. Our current offerings include:

  • ADULT FORMATION We offer a variety of classes and small groups. Over the past year we have studied the Way of Love, we have gathered for Bible Study, for a Lenten study, and a variety of book groups. We are currently gathering online for most of our Christian formation.

  • LITTLE SAINTS: We are currently offering once a month Children’s formation for children age 4 and up. This is a space for children to share and build community and learn about our faith. We celebrate the seasons and special feasts of the church, sharing stories and crafts and age appropriate prayers. It’s a little bit of chaos and a whole lot of fun. All are welcome!

  • Little saints is meeting outdoors with masks when the weather permits or on zoom to keep our families safe. Join our email list to find out more!

  • NURSERY CARE: We also offer a staffed nursery on Sunday mornings for children 4 and under.

Contemplative Prayer

Join us Wednesdays at 4PM for a time for silence and connection. A space to practice prayer and meditation. Discover a way to restore your spirit and reconnect with God when life feels overwhelming. All are welcome. - This offering is currently on hold during the COVID pandemic but feel free to join us on Wednesday evenings at 8:30 pm for Compline - night prayers on zoom.

Outreach

All Saints has a variety of ways to love and serve our neighborhoods.

  • NORWOOD SCHOOL: We have a relationship with Williams School in Norwood and help children in need with school supplies in the fall and Christmas gifts during the holidays.

  • THE CARING PLACE: HELPING NEIGHBORS IN NEED: The Caring Place provides a variety of services to members of our communities who find themselves in need of food, clothing, furniture, rent and utility assistance, family development and support groups. Please consider bringing non-perishable food items for families in need in our neighborhoods. Donations can be brought to All Saints and placed in the basket in the back of the church and we will deliver to the Caring Place each week. During Lent, we are collecting toilet paper and personal care items.

  • EPISCOPAL RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT: Episcopal Relief & Development is the compassionate response of The Episcopal Church to human suffering in the world. Episcopal Relief & Development brings together the generosity of Episcopalians and others to seek and serve Christ in all persons. It provides relief in times of disaster and promotes sustainable development by identifying and addressing the root causes of suffering.

Community Fellowship

Throughout the year, we have a variety of opportunities to gather with one another and with our neighbors for special meals, fun events, and building relationships. Here are some examples:

  • ALL SAINTS SUNDAY: Join us for an All Saints Day celebration! We will have a special worship service honoring the saints past, present and future. We will have a potluck meal following church, so please bring a dish to share! We will also have games and fun for all ages. Children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to our All Saints Celebration!

  • HALLOWEEN NIGHT – “From ghoulies and ghosties And long-leggedy beasties And things that go bump in the night, Good Lord, deliver us!” We offer hot chocolate and candy to trick or treaters and have fun meeting our neighbors!

  • GREENING OF THE CHURCH: on the last Sunday of Advent, we will “green the church” – putting out Christmas trees, flowers, and decorations for Christmas Eve. If you are available to assist, please join us from 10 am – 12 noon. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. All are welcome!

  • ANNUAL MEETING: A bit like a family reunion and celebration of the past year! We will meet February 23rd to share a potlock meal and hear about all the good things going on in our community.

  • PENTECOST PICNIC: We celebrate the birthday of the church with a bbq and summer fun!
